I.&n= bsp;            = ;      The me= eting was called to order at 7:03 = P.M.

 

II.&= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Minute= s of the board meeting for July 9, 2007 were reviewed and approved as written.

 

III.=              Treasu= rers Report:

 

A.&n= bsp;   Financ= ial reports were reviewed. A discussion followed regarding placing $5,000 into a CD. Motion was made and seconded to put $5,000 into a CD at the best possib= le rate available. MOTION PASSED. Unpaid dues after October 1 need = to have liens applied.

 

IV.&= nbsp;            Commit= tee Reports:

 

A.    CC& R’s:

1.      Ken re= viewed an email from Debbie Spada on E Caples Court regarding an RV in a driveway extending out onto the sidewalk as well= as boats not stored behind fences. Ken has contacted the people with the boat = and it will be put into their garage soon. The RV has been removed. All other b= oats are gone.

2.      Ken re= ported that Spada’s have a large lighted campaig= n sign in their back yard which can be viewed from Southview Heights Drive. CC&R’s state that signs need to be no larger than 2’x3’. After much discussion about campaign signs in general Ken will talk to the city’s Public Works regarding the City’s sign ordinance. It was noted that political signs in general a= re not allowed but we have overlooked these signs during past elections for ci= ty officials.

V.&n= bsp;            = ;   Old Business:

 

A.&n= bsp;   Picnic Report: Everyone agreed that it was a great success and well attended by bo= th SVH and HR HOA. Ken thanked everyone for their help. The corn was a great addition. Rowdy Berry and his band were very much enjoyed. A thank you note will be sent to Rowdy= for arranging the music. A thank you note will also be sent to Steve Frucci for the use of the grill. Ken will talk to HR President Rob Collins about a contribution to the Stadium Group in apprecia= tion for the use of the grill. A contribution of $25 from each HOA was suggested. Ken donated some of the leftover rolls, chips and condiments to Ginger McConeghy on E Reid Court. Concerns were expressed regarding = the two large banner signs that HR HOA hung on the gazebo. The consensus was th= at they created confusion to homeowners who may have thought that the picnic w= as just for HR and not SVH HOA since we did not have signs.

B.&n= bsp;    Vinyl = Fence: The broken section of fence on Southview Heights Drive = has been fixed. No bill has yet been submitted.

C.&n= bsp;   Entran= ce sign painting: Katie Collins, with the help of Kristin Collins has completed painting the entrance sign with great results. A check for $100 will go to Katie as agreed. A thank you note will be sent to Kristin Collins for volunteering to help Katie.

D.&n= bsp;   Soap in pond: This time the suds were excessive and it took many applications of the foam down to remove the suds.

E.&n= bsp;    Sprink= ler Heads: The broken sprinkler heads have been repaired.

 

VI.&= nbsp;            New Bu= siness:

 

A.&n= bsp;   Split tree: Jim Grima= rd reported that he has been approached by Jim Danielson on E Ennis Court regarding the split t= ree on South= view Heights Drive that has lost limbs. He asked if= it could be replaced. Ken will talk to Dave Pettit as to a solution.

B.&n= bsp;    Pond P= ump: The pump is repeatedly getting clogged with leaves which slow down the flow. Ken suggested putting a screen around the intake. He will look into a solut= ion.

C.&n= bsp;   Board = member Dave Whitley has not attended one BOD meeting or annual meeting since he was elected to the board; only the meeting that he expressed an interest in joi= ning the board. His dues are also past due. In light of this it was determined t= hat he could no longer serve as a board member. Jim Grimar= d was asked if he would be willing to join the BOD. He agreed and a motion was made and seconded to appoint Jim to the board. MOTION PASSED.

 

 

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 20, 2007. Possibly changing the mee= ting               &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   date to the 3rd Tuesday of the month will be discussed at the next meeting.
