I.&n= bsp;            = ;      The me= eting was called to order at 7:20= P.M.

 

II.&= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Minute= s of the board meeting on March 12, 2007 were reviewed and approved as written.

 

III.=              Treasu= rers Report:

 

A.&n= bsp;   Financ= ial reports were reviewed. Troy reported that we should be able to put an additional $5,000 into reserves. = He stated that the liability insurance policy is slightly less than last year.= In light of these facts he recommended that we could discount the annual dues another $5, reducing the dues by $95 if paid by the end of June.

B.&n= bsp;    Budget= : A motion was made and seconded to approve the budget for 2007-8, discounting = the dues by $95 if paid by the end of June. MOTION PASSED.

 

IV.&= nbsp;            Commit= tee Reports:

 

A.    CC& R’s:

1.      Rental properties: Ken reported that there are two homes on E Spencer Court that have additiona= l family members or other people renting in them. He checked with the city’s Public Works Director, Jeff Sarvis and City Pla= nner, Dale Miller who stipulated that as long as there was an inside access to th= e renters and not an exterior access that is was acceptable.

2.      Beyer&= #8217;s property at 540 E Heritage Loop is unocc= upied and being renovated and will be put up for sale.

3.      Austin’s property at 552 E 15th Circle has so= ld and the new homeowners have moved in.

4.      The ho= me at 562 E Heritage Loop still has vehicles w= ith Oregon licenses.= Ken has reported this to the La Center Police but will follow up on this issue.

5.      Ken re= ceived an email from Jay Doughty at 840 E Heritage Loop who is concerned about the speeding vehicles. Ken has contacted Jeff Sarvis who is investigating the possibility of speed = bumps or stop signs on E Heritage Loop at E Fir Ave. =

6.      Ken re= ceived an email from Gregg Nelson at 1260 E Spencer Court who wants to put a set of stai= rs from his house front to E Pioneer Loop. = Ken informed him that there were no CC&R restrictions and that he should ch= eck with the city regarding building permits.

V.&n= bsp;            = ;   Old Business:

 

A.&n= bsp;   Easter= egg hunt: Ken reported the success of the Easter egg hunt. He has been approach= ed by the Presidents of Heritage Ridge HOA and Stone Creek HOA who have expres= sed an interest in joining our Easter egg hunt and our annual picnic. The pros = and cons were discussed. This will be brought up at the annual meeting.

B.&n= bsp;    Pond p= ump: The cost of the pump repair was discussed. It was decided that in the futur= e a detailed estimate of expenses should be required and other bids should be considered before the work is done.

C.&n= bsp;   Grounds maintenance: Next year Dave Pettit’s contract is up. The possibility = of finding more economical workers was expressed.

D.&n= bsp;   Fence repair: Ken will again contact the vinyl fence company. He stated that we a= re on their schedule but our small job isn’t a priority.<= /p>

 

VI.&= nbsp;            New Bu= siness:

 

A.&n= bsp;   Curb h= ouse number painting: Ken reported meeting with the Boy Scout leaders to present= our proposal for having the scouts paint the home numbers on the curbs. They wi= ll consider this project and report their decision to Ken.

B.&n= bsp;     Annual Meeting: The annual meeting = will be held on Monda= y May 21, 2007 at 7:00 PM. Agenda items were discussed.

C.&n= bsp;   Annual picnic: The picnic will be held on August 25, 2007. Ken reported that he applied for the Dreyers ice cream neighborhood promotion of providing ice cream for 100 people to selected neighborhoods.<= o:p>

D.&n= bsp;   Ken pr= oposed getting a bid from artist Kristin Collins who lives on E Heritage Loop to paint the letters on the entrance sign so t= hey will be more visible. Everyone agreed that the sign needs improvement.=

E.&n= bsp;    HOA’s to = join in picnic: Concerns and suggestions regarding the two other HOA’s joi= ning our picnic were discussed; additional costs, additional chairs and canopies, planning assistance. It was suggested that $2 per home could be assessed to cover the cost, everyone could be asked to bring their own chairs and a committee should be formed with representatives from the other HOA’s.

 

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Next meeting scheduled for July 9, 2007.
